The singer was forced to cancel several concerts after he was brutally assaulted by unknown assailants. He suffered a broken nose, concussion and black eyes during the incident and was also hit by a car following the attack.
DeGraw was cheered as he returned for his comeback concert at New York State Fair, according to station Like 98.7. He is currently on a joint tour with Maroon 5 and Train.
He performed a selection of songs from his upcoming studio album Sweeter, as well as some of his hits including 'I Don't Want to Be' and 'In Love with a Girl'.
DeGraw recently said that he "couldn't wait" to make his comeback following the attack. He also revealed that he was "seeing double" during the early stages of recovery.
