Example and Red Hot Chili Peppers have stormed the singles and albums charts this week.

Example's 'Stay Awake' is on course for the top spot on the singles chart this Sunday, closely followed by Ed Sheeran's 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You', which enters at two.

Meanwhile, Cover Drive land at number eight with their debut single 'Lick Ya Down', and Bruno Mars's 'Marry You' remains on the edge of the top ten at 11.

Nicole Scherzinger's 'Wet' climbs four places from last week to 21, Florence + the Machine remain at 24 with 'What the Water Gave Me', and David Guetta and Nicki Minaj's 'Turn Me On' starts at 39.

On the albums chart, Red Hot Chili Peppers look likely to score their third number one album with I'm With You - their first record since 2006's chart-topping Stadium Arcadium.

Elsewhere, David Guetta's Nothing But The Beat enters at number two and Bombay Bicycle Club land at five with A Different Kind of Fix.
