Melanie C wants to play London 2012 Olympics' opening ceremony

The former Spice Girl said that the '90s group have not been approached to perform, but that she would love to attend the event to watch some athletics.
The singer told the Daily Star: "There may have been rumours but I've never been approached about a Spice Girls reunion for the Olympics. But I would love to be involved.
"Growing up, I loved the Olympics, especially gymnastics and athletics. I think I've missed the boat a bit in competing but I'm hoping to get along to watch something. To be involved would be fantastic."
The 37-year-old performer is currently preparing to release her fifth studio album The Sea on September 5.
Melanie C has worked with a number of producers on the record, including previous Saturdays collaborator Cutfather.
The Sea will be preceded by her new single 'Think About It' on September 4.
