The singer first surprised fans at his Southern Hospitality restaurant on Wednesday by joining hip-hop group FreeSol for an impromptu set.
Timberlake took to the stage again last night at Irving Plaza just after 11.00pm local time to back up FreeSol, before performing several of his own tracks including 'Cry Me A River' and 'What Goes Around'.
While performing his 2002 breakthrough hit 'Like I Love You', Timberlake joked: "I'm getting too old for this."

Timberlake recently revealed that he has no interest in reviving his music career because he is focussed on acting.
Earlier this week, sources claimed that Timberlake and ex-girlfriend Jessica Biel have got back together.
In Time, starring Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried, is released on October 28 in US cinemas and on November 1 in the UK.
