Elton John was added to the Hall Of Fame at the Mojo awards last night.
Other notable winners at the bash were Corinne Bailey Rae, who took home Best New Act, and Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, who claimed the Lifetime Achievement Award.
After Bailey Rae collected her award, she presented Elton with his, saying: "I was born in 1979 and the first musician I ever saw on TV was Elton John. I loved him partly for his music, and partly for his flamboyant costumes which I drew over and over again in my scrapbook. He's been around for my whole life and he has influenced the music I write."
Commenting on her own award, she admitted: "I didn't expect to win at all, so I'm just amazed and really privileged to be accepting this award."
