The girl group entered at number two with their new track 'All Fired Up' on Wednesday's chart and said that getting their first number one single would mean a lot to them.
Speaking to Digital Spy, band member Rochelle Wiseman explained: "We've already proved that you don't need a number one because we're on our 11th single now and we're just about to do an arena tour in December.
"So we've proved you don't need one, but we'd love one for ourselves!"
Bandmate Una Healy added: "It would mean so much to us... We've waited so long so the party would just be out of this world!"
'All Fired Up' is available to download now. It is the second single to be lifted from The Saturdays' forthcoming album, which will be available in November.
