Exclusive: One Direction: 'Revisiting X Factor studio was surreal' - video

One Direction have described their recent visit to the X Factor studio as "surreal".

The group, who revisited the set before their performance on last week's Red Or Black?, revealed that it felt "weird" returning to the studio a year after taking part in the competition.

Niall Horan told Digital Spy: "Our first day back at Fountain studios... it was so surreal and weird."

Liam Payne added: "It smells the same, which is the strangest thing. It smells of... smell."

Discussing their favourites among the new X Factor judging lineup, Horan said: "Since last weekend I've been heavily attracted to Kelly Rowland, but Tulisa's like, 'hello!'".

Of Olly Murs and Caroline Flack, Harry Styles said that they are "really good to watch, as long as they don't get too close", before admitting that he fancies Flack.

One Direction's new single, 'What Makes You Beautiful', is on course to hit number one on Sunday's Official Chart.
