The Australian singer performed a brand new track during a San Diego gig, called 'Hostage', which she confirmed on Twitter would feature on her next album.
She tweeted a YouTube link to a live performance on the song with the message: "new song live, 'HOSTAGE' taster of new album produced by nick valensi, out next year sometime."
The LP marks Sia's sixth studio album, following last year's We Are Born, which reached the top 40 in six countries.
The 'Clap Your Hands' star, who has worked with Christina Aguilera and Zero 7, previously said she was going to quit music after being outed as bisexual by Perez Hilton.
She currently features on David Guetta's 'Titanium', which peaked at number 16 on the UK singles chart last month.
