The musician - who performed in the Big Top at Bestival in 2007 - came on stage dressed in a Terminator-style outfit including a Konnichiwa Records bomber jacket and sunglasses.
She quickly removed them during her opening track 'Fembot' to reveal a white net T-shirt and blue patterned leotard.
Robyn's four-strong band - including two drummers - were dressed as lab technicians.
The popstar danced almost continually through a high-octane set which featured tracks including 'Dancing On My Own', 'We Dance to the Beat', 'Be Mine', 'Call Your Girlfriend' and 'The Girl and the Robot', her collaboration with Royksopp.
She closed her set with a performance of 'With Every Heartbeat' as the audience waved their arms in time.
Robyn will be followed on the main stage at Bestival by headliner Bjork in a worldwide outdoor festival exclusive.
