A website celebrating 20 years of Nirvana's Nevermind album has been unveiled.

The online tribute, which can be found at nevermind20.com, features a section where fans of the 1991 album can share their thoughts and opinions on the iconic record.

Nevermind fans can also submit photos, artwork, tour posters, tickets and various other memorabilia related to the album.

A host of music stars have also submitted quotes on what the album means to them, including Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, Mark Ronson, Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner and former band member and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

Grohl writes: "All of that success happened so quickly. The funny thing is that Nirvana were still playing places that held 700 to 800 people by the time we had a gold record.

"We were still touring in a van when we had a Platinum record. I was still living in my friend's back room by the time we'd sold ten million records."

He added: "It wasn't some crazy VH1/MC Hammer overnight bling success - I think we were all in shock after it happened. I went to Benihana with a credit card like, 'Oh my God, this thing works!'"

Nirvana's Nevermind will be reissued with special edition and collector's edition versions on September 19 to mark 20 years since it was released.
