The pop fivesome are taking the first steps towards a full reunion in a new four-part Sky Living series, which begins with the group trying to deal with the issues which led to members Claire Richards and Ian 'H' Watkins quitting.
Steps Reunion sees the pair face two questions from their former bandmates, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Lee Latchford-Evans.
In a new promo, viewers get a first look at their reconciliation meeting, before which each member reveals how they moved on from the group and admit their unresolved issues with their time as a band.
H says that his "only regret is that it ended like it did", but adds: "If I were to revisit it and turn the clock back, I would probably have done it exactly the same way."
However, on Watkins and Richards's decision to quit, Latchford-Evans says: "They took something away from three people that we loved and we didn't get a choice because certain people took that choice away from us and I think that is very unfair."
Meanwhile, Richards - who competed on ITV's Popstar to Operastar earlier this year - claims that her relationship with her female bandmates broke down when she overheard complaining about her role as "lead" singer. "From that moment it was not good," she says.

As the series progresses, fans will be able to see Steps attempt to put their differences behind them, as they reminisce about their success; leading up to deciding if they want to reunite properly.
Steps Reunion begins on Sky Living at 9pm on Wednesday, September 28.
