Dappy, Kasabian storm midweek chart

Dappy has entered the UK singles midweek chart at number one.

The N-Dubz rapper has hit the top spot with his debut solo single 'No Regrets', pushing current chart-topper 'What Makes You Beautiful' by One Direction down to number two.

Jason Derulo is the second highest new entry at four with his track 'It Girl', while singer-songwriter James Morrison lands at five with 'I Won't Let You Go'.

Damien Rice's 'Cannonball' catapults into the top ten after an X Factor outing from maths teacher John Adams over the weekend.

Further down the chart, Nicki Minaj continues to climb with her Rihanna duet 'Fly', which is at 22, and Nicola Roberts enters at 28 with her second solo effort 'Lucky Day'.

Over on the album chart, Kasabian storm to the top with their fifth studio record Velociraptor!, forcing Ed Sheeran's + into second place.

Two more new entries come in the form of Christina Perri's Lovestrong at four and Tony Bennett's Duets II at five, which features the jazz icon singing with Lady GaGa and Amy Winehouse.

Meanwhile, Mick Jagger's supergroup SuperHeavy land at ten with their self-titled debut and Tori Amos sits at 16 with Night Of Hunters.
