Reports surfaced online this week that the Twilight star would head into the studio to record original songs for his first LP.
"The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop. Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison," a source said of Pattinson's sound.
However, his spokesperson has shut down the story, insisting that Pattinson is not working on a record anytime soon.
"The report is untrue. He is not working on an album right now," the rep told MTV News.
Pattinson first expressed interest in pursuing music professionally in 2009 but remained committed to his acting career.
However, the 25-year-old confessed last year that he misses having the time for songwriting since beginning the Twilight series.
