Charlie Simpson plays a roadside seller in the music video for his new single 'Cemetery', exclusively unveiled on Digital Spy.

The clip sees the singer-songwriter selling fruit on an empty road, before a car - also driven by Simpson - crashes into the stall.

The Fightstar frontman was said to have needed medical attention from the stunt after producers underestimated the effect of the car's impact.

'Cemetery' - released October 31 - marks the third cut from Simpson's debut album Young Pilgrim, which entered at number six on the album chart in August this year.

He is due to play a 'Station Sessions' gig at London's St Pancras ahead of his UK tour, which kicks off in Bristol on October 19.

The 'Cemetery' digital bundle tracklisting is as follows:

1. 'Cemetery' (Radio Edit)
2. 'Cemetery' (Acoustic)
3. 'Re-Stacks' (Bon Iver cover)
4. 'When We Were Lions' (Acoustic Remix)
5. '(I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight' (Radio 2 Session)
