The band will team up with BBC Radio 2 for a unique concert at Manchester Cathedral on October 27.
The setlist will include tracks from their Mercury-nominated album Build A Rocket Boys!, which reached number two on the UK chart earlier this year.
Elbow will be joined on stage by Manchester-based The Halle Youth Choir, who also perform on the album.
Support on the evening comes from local unsigned band The Slow Show, who were discovered by BBC Introducing.
Fans will be able to listen to the show live on BBC Radio 2 from 9pm or watch the concert through the BBC Red Button service or the Radio 2 website.
Radio 2's In Concert show will have details on how to get tickets for the one-off music event during its October 6 broadcast from 8pm.
