The Star Trek actor has chosen the track as part of his covers album Seeking Major Tom.
A video has been released of Shatner laying down his vocals for the song, originally by Ozzy Osbourne's band in 1970.
The album will also feature tracks originally by David Bowie, The Byrds and Elton John.
Shatner has previously released 1968's The Transformed Man and 2004's Has Been, which included a cover of Pulp's 'Common People'.
Seeking Major Tom will be released on October 11.
