The singer is currently working on the follow-up to 2010's Bionic and has employed the help of acclaimed voice coach Seth Riggs.
Aguilera is reportedly aiming to make her voice "even more perfect" before laying down vocals on her new tracks, according to the Examiner.
Apparently, the 30-year-old will not over-sing on her next album, something she has been criticised for on previous records.
The report also confirms that William Orbit will be working with Aguilera on the new material as soon as he finishes recording with Madonna for her upcoming LP.
Aguilera recently declared that music will always be her "first love" after starring in musical film Burlesque last year.
