Il Divo have announced plans to embark on a world tour.

The classical group will play 12 dates across the UK as part of their fourth world tour, next April.

They will start at Glasgow's SECC on April 1 and conclude their British shows at London's Royal Albert Hall on April 18.

"Il Divo is the perfect modern fusion of opera, theatre and concert performance. It is a privilege as a director to create a visual landscape inviting the audience on a theatrical journey of their music," said their creative director Brian Burke.

The shows will be in support of their new album Wicked Game, which will be released in the US on November 8 and the UK on November 28.

Il Divo's new album has been produced by Per Magnusson and David Kreuger with additional production from Richard Stannard.

Tickets for the shows go on general sale on October 14 at 9am.
