Lovato will begin the tour with a show in Detroit on November 16, before moving on to perform across cities including New Orleans, Atlanta and Kansas City.
The 'Skyscraper' singer will round off the tour with a performance in Chicago on December 3.
Lovato will use the tour to promote her third studio album Unbroken, which was released last month to generally positive reviews.
The two-month schedule will mark the first tour for Lovato since she dropped out of supporting the Jonas Brothers in late 2010 to seek help for personal issues relating to both bulimia and depression.
Since leaving rehabilitation, Lovato has thanked celebrity friends Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez for helping her through her troubles.
Tickets for Demi Lovato's US tour go on sale from October 14.
