The 'Spotlight' singer was due to close tonight's 'Michael Forever' gig at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium, but cancelled her appearance due to "major production issues".
Upon discovering that fans had not been informed of her last-minute exit, Hudson wrote on Twitter: "I would have thought they would have informed you all by now , so since they did not , I am. Thank u for your support."
Hudson was replaced by Alexandra Burke, Gladys Knight and Yolanda Adams. Other artists playing included Cee Lo Green, JLS, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson and Beyoncé - who performed via a satellite link-up.
Black Eyed Peas were removed from the bill on Wednesday, while Chris Brown pulled out after his criminal record prevented him from obtaining a UK work visa.
Kiss were also dropped from 'Michael Forever' over comments made by frontman Gene Simmons regarding Jackson's child molestation trials.
