Matt Cardle has revealed that he is thankful for not being shipped off to work with Lady GaGa producer RedOne.
The X Factor champion confessed that he was relieved to be allowed to write his own material instead of being forced to work with big-name producers.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Cardle explained: "On The X Factor I was singing songs that I didn't really believe in, like Britney Spears's stuff.
"Thankfully, I've not been shipped away to have a song written for me by RedOne and Stargate, only for me to come back going, 'Look I'm a popstar'. Because obviously I'm not."
He continued: "At 28 I've done all the changing I'm going to. It winds me up when people who are normal and lovely, then get a bit of success on the show and come back as a big diva.
"What happened to you in that last year which makes you think. 'I'm f**king amazing'? You're just the same person you were before you went on."
Cardle also insisted that he's aware of the pressure a male X Factor winner faces after Simon Cowell dropped all of the previous male victors form his label.
He added: "It might seem like there's huge pressure on me to succeed after past male X Factor winners have struggled but all I can do is write the best I've ever written and sing the best I can sing and make sure the songs are from the heart."
Matt Cardle's first single proper 'Run For Your Life' is available to download now, while his debut album Letters will be released on October 17.
