The 14-year-old Australian singer, who relocated to Los Angeles last year to pursue his dream of being the next Justin Bieber, said that he believes his singing has improved as puberty looms and his voice has started to break.
Simpson told the Herald Sun: "My voice was a little higher when I put out [my last single]. Everyone was like, 'Yeah this kid won't be able to sing when his voice changes, he'll have no career'. But it's gotten much better."
Simpson has now signed on with Bieber's manager Scooter Braun, saying: "I signed with him because he's a great manager and a very intelligent man. We have big plans for next year."
He also said that he is in regular contact with the 'Baby' singer.
Two more Australian teenage singers have recently been labelled the 'next Justin Bieber'. Australia's Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen was compared to Bieber in his first audition for the reality television show.
This week, 16-year-old X Factor contestant Reece Mastin was told by judge and mentor Ronan Keating that he should quit school to pursue his music career.
