The singer is currently preparing to shoot a music video for 'Breathing', indicating that the track will serve as the third cut from his album Future History.
Industry site Video Static listed the video for 'Breathing' as "in production" and revealed Colin Tiley as its director.
Tiley recently worked with Chris Brown and Justin Bieber on their apocalyptic video for 'Next To You'.
Derulo's new single will follow his previous hits 'Don't Wanna Go Home' and 'It Girl', which have both reached the top five in the UK.
No official release date for the track has been confirmed, but an announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
Derulo recently joined Coldplay, Jessie J, Snow Patrol and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the performance lineup for this year's MTV EMAs.
