The singer, who reached number two with her debut single 'Heaven' back in August, confessed that she was nervous to collaborate with one of her musical heroes.
"It was the most phenomenal time and we wrote three tracks together," she told the Sunday Mirror. "She was the artist I idolised when I was 15-years-old. It was nerve-wracking at first but by the end of it I felt we'd become friends.
"We had a lot in common so it was a real meeting of minds. She gave me advice on how to handle everything and it really felt like she was mentoring me."
Sandé has written for several other artists including Cher Lloyd and Susan Boyle. She recently told Digital Spy that she wants to give her best songs away.
Sandé recently unveiled her latest single 'Daddy', which is produced by Naughty Boy and available to download from November 20.
