The 'Magnificent' rapper pulled out of a gig in Greensboro, North Carolina on Friday after suffering two separate seizures while he was travelling to the show.
Reps for Ross insisted that he is recovering "fine" from the seizures, but the health problems have forced the musician to cancel Friday's homecoming concert at Georgia State University.
The concert's organizer, George F Baker, expressed regret that Ross will be unable to appear, but wished the star a speedy recovery.
"We are disappointed he had to cancel, but completely understand that Rick Ross needs to take care of himself at this time," Baker said.
A full refund will be offered for those who purchased tickets to the event.
Ross's fifth studio album God Forgives, I Don't, featuring the hit 'You the Boss', is released on December 13.
