The Stone Roses have experienced a dramatic sales boost since they confirmed their reunion.

The band - consisting of Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary 'Mani' Mounfield and Alan 'Reni' Wren - announced plans to play two UK shows next June along with the promise of new material at a press conference in London yesterday.

Since the announcement, sales of The Stone Roses' back catalogue have increased by 1,000% overnight, reports NME.

Hits collection The Very Best of The Stone Roses has experienced a 1,074% boost, while sales of the band's second set Second Coming are up by 1,001%.

A special edition of their self-titled debut has seen a sales spike of 878% and their alternative compilation set The Complete Stone Roses is up 477%.

Reports have suggested that the reformed band will play headline slots at next year's V and Phoenix festivals in the UK.
