The former Bad Company and Free singer toured with Roger Taylor and Brian May from 2004 to 2009 and released the album The Cosmos Rocks in 2008. However, he left the group in 2009.
Taylor recently hinted that the band may reform for live dates in the future, perhaps for the London Olympics next year.
Rodgers told Billboard that he has yet to hear from Queen, but that he would be interested after the success of their past tours together.
"No-one's actually approached me yet, but I would be open to something like that, I must say. I think we did fantastically well. We were up against potential disaster, really, and I think we really pulled it off," he said.
"Toured the world a couple of times. Made a brand new studio album. I just didn't want to do it forever... but, for something like [the Olympics], that would be ideal."
