The 'Fool's Gold' singer was clocked at 105mph in his Lexus on the M6 in April earlier this year.
His lawyer argued that any ban would cause "insurmountable" problems for his family due to his recent reformation with the Stone Roses.
With rehearsals taking place at "a remote and secret location", lawyer Nick Freeman said that Brown would struggle to see his 11-year-old son, who lives in London with his mother.
After appearing in front of Chester magistrates, he was fined £650 and received six more penalty points for the offence which he pleaded guilty for at an earlier hearing.
The 48-year-old was also ordered to pay £300 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
