The singer insists that the group want to record a fourth album of new tracks - instead of a Greatest Hits CD as originally planned.
"After our tour finished we went into the studio to record three new songs for the Greatest Hits," Cheryl told the Daily Star. "We've come up with six tracks we love and are now thinking we should do a new studio album instead."
Tweedy is set to marry footballer Ashley Cole this weekend after months of preparations.
She added, "When Ashley and I get back from honeymoon we'll have a meeting with our record label and see about putting back the Greatest Hits. Pop is on a roll right now with Lily Allen and Nelly Furtado - and we want to continue being a part of it."
