The singer, who is battling it out with Green for the top spot on Sunday with 'Earthquake', said the rapper "needs" it more than him because of the impending release of his new album At Your Inconvenience.
Labrinth told Digital Spy: "I'm really pleased for Pro Green, it's a sick tune and it's always great to see an urban act at the top of the charts.
"He needs this [number one] more than me right now, so I don't mind if he finishes out on top on Sunday. He has a new album coming out really soon and this is the perfect way for him to kick things off, whereas mine is coming next year."
On the success of 'Earthquake' - his first single in 12 months - he said: "To be honest, I can't believe how well it's doing. It's great to hear stations like Capital FM playing it now. It's encouraging!"
Green is currently number one on the midweek chart with sales of 104,000, while Labrinth is at two at 80,000.
