Ellie Goulding: 'New album is definitely different'

Ellie Goulding has said that her forthcoming album is "definitely different" to her debut LP Lights.

The 'Starry Eyed' singer refused to divulge details about the record but revealed that she has already begun recording new tracks.

"I feel like I'll jinx it if I talk about it, but it's definitely different," Goulding explained to BBC Newsbeat.

"I've been recording in America. I've been there quite a lot because I've been touring. I'll be back [in the UK] soon and I'm just looking forward to the new album coming out now."

Goulding has previously insisted that she will always consider herself a folk artist because of her love of playing the guitar.

She has admitted that she enjoys touring in the US as she can "get away with more and be more of a free spirit".
