The Who are preparing for their first world tour in 25 years.
Guitarist Pete Townshend promised US fans "great live music", including "the entire catalogue of our old stuff" alongside new tracks.
"We will be in great form when we start the tour in September," he added. "Roger [Daltrey] and I are both fit and well and ready to rock."
Kicking off in the US, the band will visit Canada and then Europe, Japan, Australia and South America.
Singer Daltrey said, "Pete and I are really excited. We look forward to reconnecting with our American fans and hopefully see some new ones too."
The band has only played one-off shows and mini-tours since drummer Keith Moon died in 1978.
Townshend's brother Simon will join the group on guitar and vocals, with Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey on drums and Pino Palladino filling in for the late John Entwistle on bass.
