The band made the statement while appearing at this year's MTV EMAs in Belfast over the weekend.
Frontman Tom Meighan insisted that the group will probably not have a hit single again, despite having some "beautifully crafted" songs on their latest album Velociraptor!.
The Daily Star quotes Meighan as saying: "We are an albums band now. We are believers in albums, it means we don't get the big hit singles anymore.
"Sometimes we don't get the credit we deserve. Some of the songs on the new record are beautifully crafted pop songs - 'Man of Simple Pleasures' is heartbreaking."
Meighan added: "Some Kasabian fans say we have gone a bit tame but we can't do 'Club Foot' forever."
The band recently said that they would love to headline Glastonbury festival in 2013, describing it as a milestone they want to achieve in their career.
