The 'Fool's Gold' band, who reformed last month after 15 years apart, confirmed that they will headline next July's T in the Park festival following a recent report.
The Roses will also front Benicassim in Spain, as well as the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, their website has announced.
A T in the Park spokeswoman said: "Having recently announced their 'live resurrection' to the delight of dedicated fans across the globe, The Stone Roses will undoubtedly provide the seminal music moment of the summer with their hugely anticipated headline performance at T in the Park 2012."
A limited number of earlybird tickets will be released on Friday, December 2. Festival passes go on general sale next year.
Frontman Ian Brown was "overjoyed" when the group sold their first series of gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park in record time.
They are also said to be playing the V Festival and Vince Power's relaunched Phoenix, rumours which the four-piece have so far refused to confirm or deny.
