The band will release 'Blue Cassette' as the fourth official cut to be lifted from their recent album Pala, which reached number six on the UK chart earlier this year.
The single will be accompanied by a bonus remix of the track courtesy of Tiga, who has previously reworked tracks from The xx, Moby, Depeche Mode and LCD Soundsystem.
'Blue Cassette's release will follow Friendly Fires' upcoming UK tour, which starts at Bristol's O2 Academy on November 10 and concludes at London's Brixton Academy on November 26.
The track is available to download now and has been handed a December 5 impact date.
Friendly Fires played a number of summer festivals earlier this year including slots at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Carlisle and Reading and Leeds festivals in August.
In July, the group performed their own rendition of Lady GaGa's 'The Edge Of Glory' while visiting the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
