Proceeds from sales of 'A Christmas Song' by the Mighty Boosh and IT Crowd star will be donated to homelessness charity Shelter, the Evening Standard reports.
The single will be compiled using audio and video from contributors who upload material to the Absolute Radio website.
"My aim is to release a single that a whole bunch of people, young and old, can say they were a part of," Berry said.
"We'd like school choirs, and any kind of instrument to be on there. I think it's a unique project, and a Christmas number one would be great."
Shelter's director of fundraising Tracy Griffin said: "Any money raised will go towards ensuring that Shelter can reach more people who need our help to stay in their homes this Christmas."
Berry released the album Witchazel on CD and vinyl via Acid Jazz Records earlier this year and has toured the UK.
