The band will top the bill at the dual-venue two-day event, which takes place in Chelmsford and Staffordshire every August.
The reformed group were rumoured to be playing V Festival last month, but according to The Sun, they have signed a deal that will see them earn £1 million for the gig.
A source told the tabloid: "The Roses' upcoming tour has been put together by SJM, the same tour promoters who have looked after Take That, Oasis and Coldplay for their massive shows. Every year V Festival pulls in some huge acts.
"Eminem and Rihanna, who played this year, will be tough acts to follow, but the Roses are a massive draw."
Meanwhile, The Stones Roses were also rumoured to have been booked for Vince Power's revived Phoenix Festival, but have now been ruled out of appearing at the event.
The 'Fools Gold' stars recently revealed that they will headline Scotland's T In The Park, Spain's Benicassim and Japan's Fuji Rock Festival next year.
