Coldplay announce summer 2012 stadium tour

Coldplay have announced five stadium shows to take place next summer.
The band, whose fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto went to number one in the UK charts upon its release last month, will play in four cities - Coventry, Sunderland, London and Manchester - in May and June 2012.

The band have also promised that details of North American and further European gigs will follow soon. They will be supported by Emeli Sandé and Marina & the Diamonds on a number of their UK and European arena shows next month.

- Tuesday, May 29 - Coventry, Ricoh Stadium
- Friday, June 1 - London, Emirates Stadium
- Saturday, June 2 - London, Emirates Stadium
- Thursday, June 7 - Sunderland, Stadium of Light
- Saturday, June 9 - Manchester, Etihad Stadium
