Gary Barlow has said that the new Children in Need single will help educate the next generation to prevent future riots.
The Take That singer insisted that it was important to use urban artists and a current track to really get a message across to today's youth.
The star enlisted the help of The Collective - consisting of Labrinth, Tulisa Contostavlos, Ed Sheeran, Wretch 32, Rizzle Kicks and others - to record a charity cover of Massive Attack's 'Teardrop'.

Talking to The Sun, Barlow explained: "Novelty singles are absolutely fine but this is actually a very serious charity - and that should never be forgotten.
"We might have a teddy bear at the front of it all but we are in the business of making money for serious causes. Children in Need said they would love to have something with a more urban edge."
He added: "I thought, 'What better than to get the idols of all these young kids and put them all under one roof and on one record?' The kids will listen to what these guys are saying.
"We did our initial recording around the time of all the riots this summer. I remember thinking to myself, this is a double whammy.
"These guys are going to talk to the people before they get of an age where they'll be out there doing these bloody things. It really felt like we had to do this, this year."
The Collective's 'Teardrop' is available to buy physically and digitally now.
