AMAs 2011 - Jennifer Lopez: 'Year has been up and down'

Jennifer Lopez has won the accolade for 'Favourite Artist in Latin Music' at the 2011 American Music Awards.

The 'On The Floor' singer, who nearly cried while on stage earlier in the evening, beat out Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull for the award.

"It's been up and down," Lopez said of her year as she accepted the trophy.



She continued: "I want to thank my family most of all, my beautiful babies, who inspire me everyday to be a better person."

Lopez then switched into Spanish to thank her fellow Latinos for their support.

She will take the stage again later in the evening to perform alongside will.i.am.

Lopez filed for divorce from estranged husband Marc Anthony in July.

The 2011 American Music Awards first aired on ABC. The ceremony will be broadcast in the UK on November 26 at 10pm on VIVA.
