The Super Furry Animals frontman will release Atheist Xmas on December 19 on 12" vinyl. It will contain three tracks, titled 'Post Apocalypse Christmas', 'At the End of the Line' and 'Slashed Wrists This Christmas'.
The Welshman recently won the very first Welsh Music Prize with his solo album Hotel Shampoo.
Billed as the Welsh equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize, he beat competition from Manic Street Preachers, The Joy Formidable and The Blackout for the award.
Last year, Rhys spoke of plans to release an album of piano ballads.
