The Australian singer, who was recently given the honour ahead of the upcoming ARIA Awards, said that she feels touched that her home country has recognised her contribution towards the music industry.
Minogue told the Herald Sun: "I'm really proud to be in the Hall of Fame in Australia. It hasn't always been the smoothest of sailing here. So it's really lovely to be recognised."
She performed a medley of her hits alongside the remaining three contestants on the Aussie version of The X Factor on Monday evening (November 21), and marvelled at how long she has been around.
"'Can't Get You Out of My Head' is ten years old now," Minogue said. "I was thinking how young some of these kids would have been when it came out. And as for 'Better the Devil You Know', which is even older, well..."
As part of her 25th year in music celebrations, Minogue will perform again on tonight's X Factor grand final, where stars such as Cate Blanchett, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Russell Crowe will reportedly be in the audience.
Minogue's boyfriend Andres Velencoso has also joined her in Australia, slamming recent reports of relationship troubles.
