Bosses are preparing to give the group a huge push in North America, with the five-piece to tour the country throughout February and March next year, reports The Sun.

US fans of One Direction had already started campaigns on Twitter and Facebook to have the band tour America, with one group gaining over 50,000 members in just a few days.

The new deal comes a month after three major record label figures, including X Factor USA judge LA Reid, reportedly took part in a bidding war to sign the boys.

One Direction reached number three on the weekend with their second single 'Gotta Be You', which is taken from their debut album Up All Night.

The LP, which also includes their previous number one hit 'What Makes You Beautiful', is available to buy both physically and digitally now.
