Justin Bieber was joined by mentor Usher during his mini-concert on Today this morning.

The teenager had earlier teased followers on Twitter that he would be bringing a "special guest" to the NBC show with him, later revealing on air that it was Usher.

Usher then joined Bieber for a rendition of 'The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)' in front of the audience of thousands who were crowded around the plaza.

"I really wanted to make a Christmas album mainly for my fans and definitely for the holiday season," he told Matt Lauer.

"I wanted to be able to give back to people in need. We launched the Believe charity drive which has more than 50 charities worldwide."
