Lana Del Rey features a tiger in the music video for her new single.

The breakout singer has filmed the visual for her next cut 'Born To Die' in Paris and used the video's extra budget to hire a tiger.

Speaking about the experience after a private gig, The Sun quotes the star as saying: "Tigers don't come cheap. It's a controversial video. You'll have to wait to see it but I got a generous budget.

"I wasn't allowed to be alone with the tiger at any time, for obvious reasons. It was a special experience."

'Born To Die' will serve as the follow-up to Del Rey's autumn hit 'Video Games', which reached number nine on the UK singles chart.

The New York-born performer recently claimed that she had to lower her singing voice so audiences would take her performances seriously.
