Nicola Roberts has clarified her comment appearing to suggest that Madonna copied her solo material.
The Girls Aloud star said that she was led astray by fans on Twitter who claimed Madonna's upcoming single 'Give Me All Your Love' sounded similar to her own track 'Beat Of My Drum'.

In the wake of the claims, Roberts tweeted: "Copy-catting has never flattered me."
However, the star later back-tracked on her comment by posting: "Some people interpret things to suit them.. Some people, like me, haven't even heard this leaked Madonna song.."
Roberts has now clarified her comments, telling Metro: "I hadn't heard it and I was getting a lot of tweets sort of linking the comparison. There are times when things feel out of perspective.
"That's just the way it is. I would never try and rebel against it because it would be exhausting."
Nicola Roberts recently confirmed that 'Yo-Yo' will be the third single to be lifted from her debut album Cinderella's Eyes.
