Scotty McCreery was caught lip-synching during a performance at a Thanksgiving parade in New York.
The current American Idol winner missed his cue while standing atop a giant float at Macy's Thanksgiving Parade earlier today.
An announcer introduces McCreery by telling the crowd: "And here to sing 'The Trouble with Girls', it's the bigger than life reigning American Idol champion, ladies and gentleman - Scotty McCreery."
When the lyrics began in the track, the singer still had his microphone by his side before he quickly realised his error and continued to lip-synch in front of the crowd.
McCreery recently revealed that he is looking forward to watching the next season of American Idol.
The 'Love You This Big' singer will perform at next month's American Country Awards.
