Bruce Springsteen is the only name confirmed to headline the festival next June, but Giddings has confessed that he is in talks with two other big American acts.
He told eFestivals: "Well I've made offers to them, so let's not tempt fate, but I'm aiming for the 'American Trilogy'.
"What that means is that in the 'Big Top' I'm going to have more dance and urban acts than I've ever had before."
The organiser named the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith as dream signings, but ruled them out of appearing at 2012's event.
Giddings also revealed that the festival will return to early June in 2013, saying that the 2012 event has to be held on the June 22-24 weekend to avoid clashing with half-term.
"We'll move to our normal weekend next time, it was just for one year only because the ferry companies told me they couldn't handle the traffic," he explained.
"Half term has moved back by a week next year, but it won't be there the year after next."
Tickets for the Isle Of Wight festival 2012 are on sale now.
