However, the singer, who recently released his Soul 2 covers LP, said that his next project will include all original songs.
Seal told the Daily Star: "I'm working on an original material album. I won't do two covers albums in a row as there's not enough in it for me emotionally."
The 42-year-old did not rule out making a covers album in the future, saying that he is interested in recording an album of songs he enjoyed during his youth.
Seal added: "I'm really interested in doing an '80s album - stuff from Depeche [Mode], Eurythmics - songs that mean something to me.
"Tracks that I have an emotional link with will trigger moments from my youth, having bought those records. I'll probably do that with a producer friend who is an '80s fanatic."
Seal's new album Soul 2 is available to buy now.
