Zooey Deschanel sings 'Christmas Waltz' on 'Jay Leno' - video

She & Him have performed a track from their latest festive album on The Tonight Show.

The duo - comprising of actress Zooey Deschanel and singer M Ward - performed 'The Christmas Waltz' from A Very She & Him Christmas.

Deschanel has also revealed that the group have already started work on a new album.

"I'm writing right now," she told HitFix.

"It's funny how the records shape themselves in that I'll write a bunch of songs and we'll cherry pick them and the album ends up having its own personality, but I don't think thematically as far as, 'This record's going to have this theme'.

"I write to get stuff out and then it ends up having its own identity once it's out in the world."

Deschanel also currently stars in comedy series New Girl, which airs Tuesdays on Fox at 9/8c, and will get its UK premiere on Channel 4 in 2012.
